Coosa River Ramble

Join us right outside of Birmingham on the mighty Coosa to kick off summer with the Coosa River Ramble! This event will be open to families and spectators of all ages, and we’ll have vendors, music, kids activities, food trucks, and more during and after the race to create a fun-filled day at Lakeside Park!

THE RUNDOWN:

Saturday, June 13th, 2026 (Races begin around 9am, event wraps up around 2pm).
Events: SUP Races – 5k and 10k kayak and paddleboard (you can participate recreationally if you wish)
Entry fee: $55 for all entries – Race shirt, swag bag and lunch provided for racers
ENTRY DEADLINE June 10th, 2026 (no race day registrations)
Awards for the top three in each division (age, gender and craft groupings)
A signed waiver is required and is available online
Coast Guard approved PFD and whistle required onboard all craft

ABOUT THE RACE

Whether you are new to paddlin’ or have been doing it for years, we hope you will join us for this fun event! You can pick between a 5k or 10k and choose to take it slow or try to win! Every racer will get access to pre-race yoga, t-shirt, race participation medal, stickers, and more!

Your registration includes entry to the race, swag bag, access to the fun before & after the race (yoga, raffles, vendors, music, etc), lunch, and of course the chance to win! You’ll also be making the world a better place by protecting the mighty Coosa!

Lakeside Park is an excellent venue for the Cossa River Ramble Paddleboard and kayak race. Logistically, the park has a well-sized beach for the start and finish line as well as docks and ramps.

There is abundant parking, restrooms and the race HQ pavilion. The park is less than 5 miles from Interstate 20, hotels and restaurants, several are within a mile.
