The Cary Center and Dr. Joree Jones, Nonprofit Consultant & Grant Writer, to Provide FREE Virtual Training for Nonprofits
The Auburn University College of Human Sciences’ Cary Center for the Advancement of Philanthropy and Nonprofit Studies will feature Dr. Joree Jones, Nonprofit Consultant & Grant Writer, in a virtual program, titled “Keys to Strategic Planning,” which will take place on Thursday, November 14, 2024, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm CST via Zoom. Dr. Joree Jones is currently a consultant and grant writer working with nonprofits. Dr. Jones retired as Dean of Institutional Advancement and Effectiveness from Chattahoochee Valley Community College in Phenix City Alabama in August 2020. She spent 24 years in higher education working in the areas of institutional effectiveness and accreditation, marketing, grant
writing, fundraising, and strategic planning. Dr. Jones has provided numerous workshops and sessions on accreditation, fundraising, and strategic planning. She served on statewide committees in Alabama’s two-year college system and as an evaluator for the Southern Association of
Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) in the area of institutional effectiveness. Dr. Jones worked with several college foundations and non-profits in fundraising initiatives and planning.
Dr. Jones earned a Certificate in Fundraising Management from The Fund Raising School at IUPUI. For six years, she was an adjunct instructor for Auburn University Montgomery teaching a graduate course in Grantsmanship and Fundraising. In addition to her work in higher education.
she also worked for the Masonite Corporation, worked in the banking industry, and owned her own business. Dr. Jones has worked and serves in the community in a variety of ways including Civic, Church, School, and Non-profits.
